About Dancam Design Edmonton

Dancam Design is Edmonton’s largest commercial 3D printing company.

Established in 1991, we have in-depth experience in advancing innovative concepts to functional prototypes. Starting from the idea stage – a simple sketch or a digital 3D model – we can help you build and perfect your concept until it is ready for production.

We offer 3D design service and product design assistance, 3D printing services, short run cast urethane part production and full size or scale model production.

We specialize in making rapid prototypes with SLA, FDM, and PolyJet technology, that build the parts and pieces for an invention. We can do limited production runs using 3D Printing with either an ABS plastic or acrylic-like material: FDM for strength or SLA and PolyJet for detail and surface quality. When substantial quantities are required (50-500 pieces), cast urethane parts is the solution. We design and build RTV molds for urethane casting that are used to produce durable finished parts that mimic injection molded output.

Our Shop

We are located in southeast Edmonton. We have over 6,000 sq.ft. of shop space, housing six in-house commercial 3D printers that enable us to meet our customers’ specific needs with respect to prototype size, materials, properties and resolution.

Our operations also include two large CNC routers, urethane pumps, vacuum casting units, a finishing booth and a small C02 laser. Our expertise, equipment, design work, and prototypes live under one roof. By keeping everything in-house, we can confidently maintain control of our customer’s intellectual property. We are proud to say many of our customers have received patents based on designs we helped produce.
